In a career spanning two decades, I have built a proven track record of creating successful businesses in a consumer and technology-driven world. The exciting intersection of consumer and technology has defined my professional space and identity.
As a marketing executive at Procter & Gamble, I successfully launched and built several consumer brands and businesses. As a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, I helped several leading companies enter and grow in emerging markets globally. In the last few years, I have successfully set up the consumer and technology practices for two global consulting firms in Asia, and I now lead the Consumer & Retail Sector at EY for all emerging markets globally.
My work has spanned the entire gamut of organizations. I serve large, global multi-national corporations and also local, often family owned, conglomerates. I have advised the United Nations, governments, gigantic state-owned enterprises and also nimble footed challengers and startups.
My expertise lies in corporate strategy, market entry, business model design, growth strategy, sales, branding, marketing effectiveness and efficiency, channel and retail management, digital and organizational transformation. I have deep experience in consumer goods as well as in the B2C high tech, telecom and digital space. Additionally, I have applied my expertise to companies across a range of other sectors, including the automotive, financial, healthcare, education and public sectors. My work has spanned the globe, covering over 30 countries across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, North and South America.
Born and raised in India, I am now Singaporean and live in this beautiful garden city with my wife and two children. In my spare time, I alternate between being an avid reader, a time-constrained writer and a mediocre golfer. The reading and writing is focused on my area of interest – business strategy, globalization, technology and consumer trends and their impact on our lives.
